Star Interceptor B
Thu Oct 31, 2013 9:55 am
The Star Interceptor line was designed to offer something faster to experienced pilots than the typical Falcon or Phoenix. The B, while not a total redesign, contained a number of improvements.
- Stronger engines.
- Frontal redesign to accommodate a TORPEDO LAUNCHER!!!
- Underwing mounts for missiles.
- Better maneuverability.
- Better aerodynamics.
- More weapons.

Ooh, you put in a TORPEDO LAUNCHER! I love seeing your fighters; they always look so sturdy!
Yeah, maybe the name is a little misleading... Time to come up with a completely new term! Maybe something like "Sprinter" or "Scare-away-er..." No, that might make the enemy laugh, not run. I'll think of something.

What about Star Intimidator? That thing is certainly intimidating! I LOVE IT! GORGOUS fighter! Immensely powerful! Balanced design... WELL done Talmid.... You're fighters (not from HPC!) are really something to drool over! And it even has a TORPEDO LAUNCHER!!!!!!!!!!!

While I still think you've reused the basic design way to much, I do think this is my favorite out of all your Star-____ variants. I esepcially like the engine layout! I also like the wing-tip weapons, though I know I've seen that on some of the other ones.
Star-Hammer, there's a name for you, probably some sort of ground attack/captial ship attack craft.

I personally don't think you use the basic design too much. It's like car companies; Hondas always look like Hondas, Toyotas always look like Toyotas, Corvettes always look like Corvettes (for the most part)! I hadn't realized you made quite that many, but there's nothing wrong with that! How did I forget about the Skyhawk, though? Isn't that the one based off of my Albatross Fighter? And speaking of the Skyhawk, I just went back to the lab, and you never posted the .LXF, since we were in the middle of the Jander War... Could you maybe post it here? I never got to see the modifications you made!

Hmmm.... where to upload the LXF?
Edit: Aha! Here we go.
http://universe.lego.com/en-us/community/creationlab/GetMedia.aspx?id=f13760b7-b029-46a6-8520-8f5a89675763
It was on another creation called "LDD Files for ships". And you posted this comment.
"Okay, after loading the LXF, all I have to say is: WOW! AMAZING! SPECTACULAR! BRILLIANT! ANY OTHER POSITIVE TERM I FORGOT! *inhales deeply* The new wing structure is great! The inside of the cockpit is wonderful! The landing gear is amazing! cont...
The revised engine is superb! And is that me at the controls? *takes another deep breath* Whew, it takes a lot of wind to sound like dino.. "

You have to practice alot. Dino used to be a professional pearl diver, you know, the ones that hold they're breath for uber long periods of time to get pearls. So he had the lungs to be able to give these kinds of speeches/comments.

talmid: Wow, I'm feeling really stupid right now. Not only do I not remember EVER looking at an LXF for it, but I looked over the creation lab for that thing this afternoon. Nicely done, Soccergirl.
Ant: Dino was a pearl diver? No wonder he can type in all caps for those super-long comments of his! The rest of us have no chance of holding out that long!

Very well done! The weight seems right, and the underside is nicely rounded. The quad engines remind me of a X-wing, but this is not a bad thing!
At first, this struck me as a little overarmed for an interceptor (at least, in comparison to my "Ghost" Heavy Interceptor), but then I compared it to a F-16, and I'm totally cool. Actually, I should beef up my Ghost a bit so it can stay in competition with your fighters!

Talmid, Soccergirl, and AA
HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! Although I don't go pearl diving, I actually do project (speak very loudly) quite a lot IRL. It comes in handy with acting... during one rehearsal, other students in the (good sized) church complained... from down the hall... through two closed doors.... :PGood times.
Wait... that was off topic... wasn't it? I give longer comments because 1. I like details. 2. I hate to just leave a "that's cool, good job." comment on an amazing creation that took hours to perfect.

Yeah, but we have so many talented builders that we rarely get one that isn't just absolutely awesome! I LOVES DEM ALL!!! It's like tryign to pick between a McLaren, a Ferrari, a Corvette, and a Lamborgini. And then of course you also somedays just want to drive your mustang, or your F-350, your jeep, or your MRAP.

Ant: I don't find that difficult. Lamborghini all the way!
Talmid: Nice work! The engines do make me think of X-Wings. Also, I think it was an excellent idea to add a TORPEDO LAUNCHER!!

Spud, agreed, gimme the Lambo off of that list, though to be honest, I'd take a Mustang as my daily driver given the choice.... not gonna happen... ah well... anyways,
Agreed AA, it IS hard when we have SO MUCH AWESOME (LOL!) but I still feel the need to let the awesome people know that they are awesome.
