Sky Hawk Class Star Fighter
Mon Nov 04, 2013 11:36 am
The Sky Hawk is a small, lightweight, and highly maneuverable Star Fighter based on the PCG's Albatross Star Fighter. It is armed with four phaser cannons and two torpedo launchers.
The Sky Hawk is a rather rare fighter, as Talmidian Starship Industries ordered a rather limited production run of only 50 fighters.

Now THAT is an awesome fighter. Even better than the original! I have to say, you really made something great when you added the engines on the wings! So what happened to the other 49 of them (since one of them is sitting in my hanger bay on the Nathan Hale)?

Hmmmm.... some are on the Talmidon, another squadron might be on the USS Premier, and I think some of the others might be spread around the Federation at various United Star Fighters Inc. star bases. I remember USFI acquired some of them for trading purposes, so I guess they could still be there.

Just to change things up a bit, I think you would be justified in adding another pair of beam weapons to this thing... (watches as Talmid has a heart attack) Joking aside, (and I was serious that I think it'd be okay to add another pair of guns) this is one sweet fighter! Reminds me a bit of General Grievous's fighter... But with giant engines strapped to the sides.... NIIIIIICE! That thing looks like it'd be a BLAST to fly, and a nightmare.... to land. (it's pretty wide) great work Talmid AND Soccergirl!

I couldn't have said it better myself! The design is beautiful, and the long nose is interesting. My only complaint is that the wheel are extremely visible, which is only a minor detail. Other than that, this is an awesome fighter!

Funny thing was, I originally did build it from the pieces of my old General Greivous fighter set... Did you remember that from years ago, or is it that obvious?Vardok (dino) S'ren wrote:Reminds me a bit of General Grievous's fighter...

Not consciously but it does bear a striking resemblance to GG's fighter, although it is clearly not the same ship.
Talmid, tip on LFX link, Dropbox has worked very well for me. It's free, doesn't seem to do viruses so long as you don't download unknown stuff, and it works well enough. You could also use Brickshelf.com, though it takes a bit for creations to come through.

I agree with dino, prehaps place them under the body in the position of the top center pair, just on the bottom. Also very nice looking! And no, it didnt remind my of GG's fighter, though I see it now. I thought more of the Naboo Starfighters. And maybe something else.......can't quite bring it to mind though.
