The only thing I really want to add is the Arondite.

I plan to fly the PXE commanders over to the Arondite by shuttle with Rapier, Razerhawk, and Phoenix escort as a sorts of a show of peaceful force.

One thing I want to bring up that's been nagging me- what about Ant's insertion team? If I recall, he was doing recon on Rator III; but now, he won't be able to return until December, and I don't think the plot will wait until then. Any ideas on how to cover this?

@MM: I might post a red-letter GM summary, saying how he and his team were captured by the Romulans, and that we don't know where they are being held. That would ensure that we can still keep his character alive and yet have him on reserve for when he returns.

While I'm on the topic of clarification, what's the current composition of the SoL Task Force again?

Behind the scenes info. You don't have to read this, and there are NO spoilers here. But if you're curious about the creation of each chapter, read on. (Scare obviously is because he keeps telling me how much he loves reading this.
- Spoiler:
- I'm sorry that I can't post my little subplot chapters more quickly.
You see, before each post, I have to plan what is going to happen. I have the general plot of my characters panned beforehand, but 95% of the details are thought up as I write each "chapter." I even think up a considerable amount of what will happen (not so basic stuff) as I am writing.
After I have a plot in mind, and as I am writing, I repeatedly have to go back and research my own story to keep it accurate to itself. That way names, events, ships, numbers, etc. etc. do not change from chapter to chapter.
Next I have to actually write the story. I believe that the level of writing difficulty is akin to that of a novel. I have to figure out what I want to happen, write it down, write dialog, show character emotions, thoughts, and actions, etc. I am managing two "player level" characters, as well as around ten named (or to be named) NPCs. I also have to describe environments and appearances.
My subplot is pretty much independent form the main plot at this point. (Although I hope to tie it back in very soon.) That means that instead of mostly writing reactions to other posts, I have to come up with all of it, essentially making me act as GM of my little plot.
Any Romulan language, Star Trek technology, or Trek history has to be researched, as I am writing. That means looking it up and reading the Memory Alpha articles.
Then I have to proofread my work, and make any corrections or additions that are necessary.
After that, I proof read it again, and make any final changes. The more changes I make to it, and the longer it is, the more times I proofread it. Even so, typos, changes of tense, grammatical errors, and other slip-ups still get through to the final version.
Each "chapter" may only take between two to five minutes to read, but please keep in mind it took between three-five HOURS to create. That's not an exaggeration either. Although each mini chapter would only fill a few pages of an actual book, it took hours to write. Although I don't currently have many time constraints, I can only think about my SoL writing for so long and still actually remain productive at it.

Wow... It takes me much longer than that and I don't exert half the effort. I just write, put it down, come back the next day, proofread a bit, add more, proofread again, and post. Mostly, I'm just wingin' it.

My posts, I typically make up as I go along. I have a very vague idea, occasionally, of where I want to go with it, but basically I just write, and then sometimes go back and change stuff. Mostly so far it's just been setting my own characters up for development, and if I see a change to move the plot along, I try to do so.
Yeah, I suppose Ant's characters have to sit till he's back from basic, but Scare, I could send two more DIMC's in, if you like, or even three or four. However many you need to soften the ground for PC's landing during the conflict.

@Dino: Wow. But your writing shows it. I usually take a couple minutes to maybe hours. I, like Supe, usually have a vague idea, but I just go with what I'm thinking of.
@Supe: Another thing that could "soften" a target is an ASM-10. But I guess that's annihilating, not softening...

Well the goal of "softening" here is to clear out any major obstacles, basically making it nice and easy for the PC's to waltz through.
Although, a couple DIMC's isn't too far removed from annihilation. xD

@Supe: We'll call you for softening targets, but call us if you ever need an entire city completely eradicated, call us at 1-800-insert random number here today!

Mighty. Huh... and I thought I was unusually slow at writing... well.. your posts show that you take time on them!
Supe. My ideas are vague enough that I didn't know what would happen in my post about chess, except that there would be chess, and then General S'Teveirr would be found dead.
Yes... we will need to soften the target.
Mirage. Thanks! I could do it in less, but I wouldn't be happy with it then. (Not that I'm ever totally happy with my work. )
Yeah... you don't want to "soften" a civilian target THAT much.
Supe. A couple guys on foot can't take down the most heavily guarded city in the quadrant. Sorry, they're good, really good, but NOBODY (whose human anyway) is THAT good. But I'm sure they could do some SERIOUS damage.
Mirage. 1-800 random number. "Hi, I'd like you to annihilate the Borg, and cockroaches please."
Oh, if I appear to be logged in 24/7, I'm not actually here. I have a page pulled up for each page of SoL that I posted part of my subplot in... need to make a word doc...

Dino, I'm not saying they could take out the entire city or whatever, sorry if it sounded like that. xD But they're powerful soldiers, so I'm offering some in case Scare has some nasty surprises he'd rather spring on NPC's than a group of PC's, which I think he intends to send for the actual assault on Rator III.

@Dino: After reading how much planning you put into your subplot, I must salute you even more as a talented writer. The Lord has given you a gift!
It also reminds me that i need to take a look at my plot outline for the entire SoL story again.

(dies of laughter after Scare's last line)
Thanks Scare! I really appreciate it! I just thought I'd give some behind the scenes info to explain why I don't upload my subplot posts any faster.

I remember you said you "liked Captain Superdude more than Captain Daragon." Captain Candirith is essentially Superdude. Actually, Candirith and Daragon are, not exactly but in a way, just souped-up versions of two sides of my actual personality. xD

Ummm I was building instead?
Seriously though, I tend to do my best writing late at night, and I am trying to break my habit of staying up too late and being exhausted because of it the next day. I get all worked up about my subplot at night.
Morning... morning is a time of day I have only heard exists.
Afternoon. "I should start writing my next chapter."
Later in the afternoon: "I don't feel like it now."
Late afternoon: "I'll do it later, I have plenty of time left in the day."
Evening. "Can't think, need to eat dinner."
Late evening: "Well, I'm awake and thinking now... I think I'll start!"
Night: "I'm only half way through this chapter! I must keep writing!"
Later that night: "It isn't right yet! It has to be perfect! I must get it just right!"
Late at night: "Too... tired... to... push... keys... brain... tired... of... writing..." [posts chapter]
Extremely late at night: "'I've gotten my second wind! YAY! Ooooh... I could have this and this and this happen! And I could connect that with this! But how does that work out?! And then she could say this when that happens! Must... resist... urge... to... write! Need... sleep... not... tired!"
But my entire process is now messed up because I'm trying to be off the computer before the "Night" phase begins. And that's when I'm inspired.

Well, that's an issue.
Fortunutely, I recently felt re-motivated by no one post; my next part *should* be up tonight.
