PPT S-14 'Luczev' Arctic PV

PPT S-14 Artic PV Luczev Ppt_fp10

The PPT's S-14 Arctic Personal Vehicle (PV) is the equivalent of a
snow-mobile (Luczev in the Atnlay language [Loo-zev]) built for battle.
Instead of a track for propulsion it has two fusion engines and four
skids which allow for much higher speeds while gliding across the frozen
terrain. (Actually I just didn't have the pieces I needed.) This does
however make it more prone to rolling, and a sort of gravity-generator
is used to help keep it upright during sharp turns. It is plated in thin
but strong armor to protect it's internals, but is mostly designed
around stealth and speed. The armor's primary function is to reduce the
vehicle's detectable signature. (for whatever type of detection, be it
sonar, radar, thermal, x-ray, neutrino, etc) The engines have also been
specially constructed to cool exhaust gases and reduce their detectable
signature, and the actual exhaust port is covered to prevent the glow
from being seen as in normal engines. The engine noise has also been
highly suppressed, because high-pitched wines typical of small, fast
sci-fi vehicles can get really annoying and give you away as well.

The S-14 is very rugged and can climb over sloped or small rocks
without damage, though the absence of snow or ice makes a terrible
screeching noise expect from something heavy being pushed over a rock.
It cannot traverse mountain terrain well obviously, unless theres a
smooth trail. It has no mounted weapons either. It can carry only one
person at a time unless the cargo rack and containers are removed. They
are used mostly for patrols or for moving small groups of troops or
equipment quickly. The Antlay riding the one shown has his pack (and
pretend he has his standard armor suit, though I couldn't fit it Razz ) and the standard Arctic firearm, the D-31.

The D-31 is an over-under rifle with a bull-pup large caliber rifle
on top and a smaller caliber rifle underneath. The top is typically
used for sniping or long-distance engagements, as are prone to happen in
a wide, mostly flat tundra wasteland or mountainous region. The bottom
is a more easily controlled (less recoil) smaller caliber for closer
engagements should it be needed, such as turning the corner around a
mountain trail or breaching a complex after battling to it. Shot fit
into a cartridge the same size as the smaller on can also be used, or
small grenade rounds for the larger. This makes the D-31 a very
versatile weapon, though a bit heavy and large.

The S-14 is also
popular among troops for fooling around, getting in trouble with
superiors, racing while on and off duty, doing tricks, etcetera in order
to provide troops with a source of amusement. Even high-ranking
officers will sometimes ignore regulations and join in on the fun. A
tale is told of a general who came upon some troops fooling around with
their machines. Instead of busting them on the spot, he challenged them
to a race and then, after beating all but two, put them on night-guard
duty for a month in addition to running miles. The two that won only had
to run.

Stats:
Propulsion: 2x small Fusion engines
Top Speed: 163 mph
0-60: 2.1 seconds (be careful)
Armor: 3/4 inch thick at most, 1/8 thick at least
Personnel: 1x driver
Other:
-Onboard computer + advanced scanners
-100lbs cargo limit

I'll post more pictures later maybe, once I photo-shop them onto that background.

I'm glad you like it, as I've already said on LZP Razz But I had to say it here too so your name didn't appear in the portals, cause orange is just so ugly on that portal. Razz
