Support Class PCG Constantes Taurorum[Stout Bull]

on Tue May 28, 2013 8:46 pm
Spoiler:

In the more rural sections of the galaxy, stardocks and outposts may not have the tractor beams normally used to guide and hold a ship in spacedock. This problem is solved by Tugs, of which the CT's are the prime example. These tugs are equipped with high-powered tractor beams, mounted on their bow and stern. Many a space mariner has used or spotted one of these trusty ships, normally with their original white coat of paint ruined and rusty.
When not in use to tug ships into their resting place, CT's are often used to shunt cargo around stations or to assist in mining on asteroids. They have been nicknamed the "Fogie's Favorite," a term often used among older miners or station owners, due to their reliability and usefulness despite their antiquity.

Stats coming later.

*snerk* Rual areas of the galaxy...I just got a mental image of several sectors of space filled with floating corn stalks and wheat, with farmers standing at the bridge with pitch-forks shouting red-neck war-cries as they charge some equally red-neck foe. XD

Overall, very nice and creative ship. I love it's simplistic design which fits its description and job well. I also like the little 'wing' things that stick out, and I'm assuming the top saucer part is where the bridge is at? Also, an ldd version of this ship would be nice, so I can use them my-self for anything I need to. Razz

You sir, just gave me an awesome idea regarding space farmers. Razz

Also, the 'wings' are smaller tractor beam emitters. They can be angled slightly for more accuracy in tugging cargo. This just provides more stability for the object the CT's are towing. And yes, the bridge is the saucer.

As for LDD, just waiting for my dad to get around to it. Dumb admin permission. Sad

I really thought I posted on this... ??? Anyways, I LOVE the ship! It looks so old, rugged, rusted over, beat up, and just plain appealing to the eye! Very Happy The use of the planet is a great idea too... As to space farmers... Now you have me curious

Dino, I'm sure you have some sort of memory problem, you have no idea how many times you say you're sure you had already posted on something. Razz *decides to add dino having a memory problem to some story somewhere down the line.* Razz
