Stargate Technology

on Sun Nov 16, 2014 8:40 pm
This is the topic in which I'll (somewhat) periodically post information on tech and other things from the show Stargate: SG-1 that is or could be relevant to Narkova Drive Yards vessels, like weapons, propulsion, etc. If anyone else has info on anything Stargate, you're welcome to post it here! Very Happy

Your "Trekkie replicators" are lazy and I hate them. Razz

Okay I don't...HATE them but I would never ever ever use them, because the lazy physicists coming up with the tech threw in the "Heisenberg Nullifier", an unidentified gizmo, to cope with the Heisenberg effect. Nononononononono WHY. WHY YOU LAZY. Razz

Hey, if cellphones, iPads, and personal computers are possible... who knows... maybe one day...

But not today.

And I'm not lazy! The writer who came up with the lazy technobabble is lazy. Razz

iPads don't attempt to map out every particle in a system, send them to a computer, and then reconstruct them. It's a very obvious and somewhat uncreative approach to replication, and is impossible because of the Heisenberg Principle of Uncertainty. HIGH-SCHOOL LEVEL PHYSICS, PEOPLE. Good grief. Razz
