Official Scales

on Tue Nov 03, 2015 11:14 am
Hey everyone! This is something I've been tossing around in my head for a while now, this isn't completely necessary at this point in time, but could come in handy at a later date, especially once we begin uploading older ships.

This is a (somewhat) unified scale system that I came up with.

Classic Grade - Any creation where the scale is less than - 1 stud = 10 meters

Perfect Grade - This one we all know, 1 stud = 10 meters

Real Grade - Minifig scale (AKA 1 stud = 1 foot, yes, officially, 1 stud does = 1 foot, don't blame me, that's official LEGO scale)

High Grade - Any creation that the scale is greater than 1 stud = 10 meters

You might be thinking now, "What's the point of these scales? Are these really necessary, we pretty much only build in Perfect Grade to begin with."

Here's why.

When building massive Starbases, or even cities or outposts, and on occasion a starship, it will be necessary to build out of "Perfect Grade", also many if not all of our older (and now non-canon for some of my our piece of crap ships) are totally out of scale in one way or another. Also, some people may want to build an extremely detailed version of a specific ship, and in order to detail it to the degree that they want they might have to build it much larger than normal (such is the case with Sloopofwar's old Stingray III and my upscale of the USS Anastasia)

Just saying, it's not anything that's super necessary, and I'm not saying that you have to use it, it's just something that would come in handy when uploading something that might be out of scale.
