Narkova Euclidian-Class Long Range Cruiser
Sun Nov 24, 2013 1:47 pm
The Euclidian-Class was designed for deep space search-and-rescue missions. Equipped with an ultra-fuel-efficient MK III plasma engine, a top-of-the-line hyperdrive, an enormous med bay, and a cargo hold that takes up an entire deck, this ship is well suited to providing disaster relief on the most distant planets.
The Euclidian-Class is also capable of ship-to-ship rescue missions. The modified transporter is able to get a lock on and beam up a maximum of 199 individual life signs, making starship evacuations much faster.
Minimal armament means more energy that can be used for other things, like making it less likely that the med bay will lose power during a crisis.
Now that I think about it, this ship is somewhat reminiscent of a Prometheus-class. That was completely unintentional, by the way. Also, here's a GIMP'd picture of a nebula in the Milky Way and a Euclidian flying off on a mission. Disclaimer: the picture of the nebula was taken by NASA's Spitzer space telescope, as evidenced by the logo in the bottom-right corner.

I lke it! I like the colors and the shape with the little winglets out on the sides. It's also the first of it's type I've ever seen on the lab. Theres plenty of warships and med ships, but not so many of any built-to-prupose type ships, such as this search and rescue ship. Nice job!

Very nice! Elegant design, great construct, and it fills an important void in the Grand Navy. Good job!

Well-designed ship, my friend! Love the nacelle pylons and the general elegance of the vessel.

Ant: Thanks! I have a couple more I'm going to post after I finish them.
MAD: Danke!
Scare: Thank you! They aren't actually nacelle pylons, because the bits on the ends aren't warp nacelles. They're... uh... I don't know what they are. The Euclidian has a hyperdrive for faster-than-light travel, instead of warp. I suppose they're just decorative.

^^^ Enhanced sensors perhaps?
BEUTIFUL ship Spud! Graceful, sleek, elegant, art-like. Well done! And a good purpose too!

Dino: Thanks! Yeah, they could be enhance life-sign detectors to help find people who need rescuing that are, say, buried under 20 meters of rock on a planet that's been bombarded by asteroids. Good idea!

I like the shape, though the exposed studs bother me for some reason on this ship. :S

The more I look at this beauty, the more I feel that she COULD be a late 25th-mid 26th century Federation vessel... which is good, she's so streamlined and aesthetically pleasing.

This ship's a beauty, and no mistake! Of course, it has some blue on it, so that always helps. ;P Like Dino, I really think it could be found in the ranks of Federation fleets-it just has that feel to it.I think my favorite part of this ship is either the spine (that white part on top of the blue, which I'm calling the spine because it looks like the ship's backbone ;P ) or the little winglets/enhanced sensors on the sides!

Dino: I can see what you're saying... Maybe if I tweak the colors a bit to make them more like Federation ships and replace the hyperdrive with a slipstream drive... The biggest problem would probably be adding a deflector array without breaking up the sloping of the hull too much. Well, it's a challenge! Thanks for the ideas!
Soccergirl: Thank you! My favorite part is the color scheme. I think it looks great from the top.
