PPT S-06 'Rekslo' IFV

PPT S-06 'Rekslo' Ppt_if10

The PPT S-06 'Rekslo' (pronounced Wreck-slah) IFV
(Infantry Fighting Vehicle) is the PPT's mainstay troop transport into
and out of hot spots in conflicts, as well as providing the usual fire
support. It is amphibious, can be air-dropped, with troops and crew in
it, and provides a fearsome arsenal to dispatch foes with. It's defenses
include a single shield generator, and up to two feet thick armor in
some places, and no less than one foot thick anywhere else. The treads
are armoured not only on the sides, to protect the vital wheels that
spin the treads, but also the front and back of the treads, the armor
sticks out so far that they can be used as bumpers with which to ram
into things with. Normally this amount of armor is not found on IFVs,
where the emphasis is on speed and protection against small caliber
weapons, and this much armor would only slow it down. But the PPT have
had many long years of experience with motor design, and as a result the
Reksla features a compact, but very powerful engine that allows it to
carry all this armor at speeds of 75 mph. The troop capacity resides at
two squads of five troops, and a crew of seven. A minimum of two is
needed, however. The Reksla also even includes a small infirmary for the
wounded until they can get better medical aid outside of the
front-lines of battle.

Counter-measure-wise, the Rekslo has
several options It's shield generator also includes a unique
EMP-shockwave-like attack ability that can be used against incoming
missiles, enemy vehicles (that are close enough), or anything else. It's
counter measures also include two grenade launchers, with which it can
fire smoke grenades which provide obscurity for it to escape, as well as
several integrated stealth technologies to reduce it's heat, radar,
sonar, energy, etc. signatures.

Aaaaaaaand the best part: The Weapons! Very Happy
The
Rekslo features an impressive array of weaponry for a IFV, where a
single auto-cannon (a usually mechanically loaded, shell-firing weapon
whose caliber sits between field artillery and firearms. Basically the
main-guns used on IFVs and Tanks.) and machine-gun is the norm. The
Rekslo features 360 degree coverage with it's four duel .50 caliber
machineguns, and features a top turret with two 60mm auto-cannons. It
fires a wide variety of munitions, including Anti-Personel, HE, HEAP
(High Explosive Armor Piercing), and flak Anti-Air rounds. The Rekslo
also has two grenade launchers which, while mainly meant to fire
smoke-grenades for screening purposes, can also fire other types such as
HE, and fragmentation grenades. For quick disposal of enemy armor, or
dangerously-pesky aircraft trying to pound a Rekslo into oblivion, it
features two missile pods of eight missiles each. These long-range
armor-peircing missiles rank among the smartest missiles in the galaxy,
and have a high-enough yield to ensure that no matter what, a hit equals
a kill. These missiles are typically used for pre-emptive measures at
long-ranges.

Coolio. Me likeyyy. Oh, nice to meet you! As indicated, my name is ARC2197. I'm a friend of Ariklego and MAD. Arik and I are partners of a sort, and he got me involved in the PCG. While I don't have a lot of skill with LDD, I've managed to make some nice little models.

Anyways, nice IFV!
