For this topic, I don't mind you commenting. Please give me your input on the weapons designs and tell me which ones I should throw out.
The PXE's armed forces have a large military that utilizes a variety of vehicles. But when troops are alone, they rely on their assault rifles and pistols to get them out alive.
A massive variety of armaments are carried by PXE troops, but they are all different. This database will highlight each weapon with a brief "bio" so-to-speak.
Note: Btw, the terms assault rifle, pistol, and sniper rifle are somewhat misnomers for PXE weapons. All weapons above mentioned use energy, giving them both range and accuracy. However, all energy weapons in the PXE are also rapid-firing (including pistols and sniper rifles). Thus, the type of weapon (in PXE) generally refers to size, not actual traits. (all weapons in PXE are generically called assault rifles)
Combat Knives:
(all will go in order left to right)
Model: CK-1
Common users: all troops
Role: standard issue knife to all PXE troops, regardless of branch/can act as a basic melee weapon or a bayonet on some assault rifle and sniper rifle models
Model: CK-3
Common users: jungle troops
Role: machete of PXE troops, used to cut down thick foliage and trees or for use as a larger melee weapon against enemy soldiers/the MI-1 Cobra mechs carry an enlarged version of this, the CK-2
Pistols:
Model: CP-1
Common users: all troops
Role: standard issue sidearm of PXE
Model: CP-2
Common users: recon troops
Role: usually operated by recon troops due to its even faster-firing than the CP-1 due to its twin barrels and can maintain far greater suppressive fire
Model: CP-4 aka H-1
Common users: aquatic/amphibious troops
Role: most effective underwater, can be used to stab or slash at enemies or fire compressed bursts of energy at targets/similar to the AR-6 in terms of firing mechanism, but much lighter and less powerful
Model: CP-5
Common users: special forces
Role: small, compact weapon that can lay down suppressive fire in the form of energy or with AAM-1 mini rockets fired from the magazine/very effective and versatile, but considerably heavier than most pistols
Assault Rifles:
Model: AR-1
Common users: most PXE troopers
Role: standard issue assault rifle of PXE ground forces/powerful rotating barrel for rapid fire but cannot fire rockets/cheap to produce but pretty effective
Model: AR-2
Common users: PXE specialists
Role: standard issue assault rifle for PXE specialists who specialize in other tasks (i.e. medic) or operate other weapons (i.e. rocket launchers) due to their small-ish size, ease of carrying, light-weight, and ability to fire a powerful blast or rapid fire from the two smaller barrels
Model: AR-3
Common users: any PXE troops (particularly in trench warfare)
Role: another assault rifle variant, used in trench warfare specifically due to the small rack on the underside, kind of like a light machine gun weapon, but firing energy
Model: AR-4
Common users: any PXE troops
Role: assault rifle commonly preferred by security teams due its smaller size but effectiveness as well as ability to load small rockets, such as AAM-1's
Model: AR-5
Common users: some PXE troops, aerial specialists, commando forces
Role: advanced assault rifle commonly operated by aerial specialists and commandos due to its versatility, very high rate of fire, ability to fire AAM-1's, and compact size
CONT
Model: AR-6
Common users: aquatic/amphibious troops
Role: aquatic assault rifle that fires pressurized bursts of energy, making it very effective underwater and decently effective above
Model: AR-7
Common users: jungle troops, commando forces, special forces
Role: jungle assault rifle equipped with a detachable knife in front which can be used as a bayonet, slashing tool, or chain saw to cut through foliage, can fire AAM-1's
Model: AR-9
Common users: commando forces, special forces
Role: small, compact assault rifle equipped with a bayonet to stab or slash enemies as well as a barrel capable of firing energy or AAM-1's
Model: AR-10
Common users: commando forces, special forces
Role: high-powered assault rifle capable of firing very powerful blasts of energy or AAM-1's while using its bayonet in close range
Model: AR-11
Common users: any PXE troops, urban specialists/troops
Role: high-powered assault rifle capable of firing AAM-1's or very thick energy fire
Sniper Rifles (this is basically just another name for assault rifle as all sniper rifles are rapid firing/primary difference is that they have higher firepower per energy bolt/blast, making them more expensive)
Model: SR-1 (AR-12)
Common users: any PXE troops, snipers, urban specialists/troops, trench warfare troops
Role: high-powered assault rifle that fires very quickly, used in trench warfare because of the rack, very powerful suppressive fire
Model: SR-2 (AR-13)
Common users: any PXE troops, jungle/urban specialists/troops, commando forces, special forces
Role: heavy assault rifle capable of high-power cover fire but can also be used in narrow spaces thanks to its bayonet/knife to stab or hack at enemies
Model: SR-3 (AR-14)
Common users: any PXE troops, urban troops/specialists
Role: heavy assault rifle capable of laying down a blanket of energy or AAM-1 fire/very heavy, but extremely powerful and effective
Model: SR-4 (AR-15)
Common users: any PXE troops, urban troops/specialists, commando forces
Role: probably the most powerful assault rifle in PXE due to its large rotary disk, dual barrels, and top mounted rocket launcher (which can be replaced with a scope for accuracy), capable of firing AAM-1 or AAM-2's
Rocket Launchers
Model: RL-1
Common users: HWS
Role: standard rocket launcher for PXE ground troops, capable of firing four rockets at once and holding eight at once (fires AAM-3's, HYR-1's, or AFM-2's)
Model: RL-2
Common users: HWS, any PXE troops, commando forces, special forces
Role: most compact rocket launcher in the PXE, capable of firing AAM-1's, AAM-2's, AFM-3's, or HYR-2's, can lay down suppressive fire wall, can be carried as a secondary armament by PXE troops due to its small-ish size
Model: RL-3
Common users: HWS
Role: heavy rocket launcher, capable of taking out very large targets (such as supergunships), or very large groups of enemies (platoon of infantry, small column of supply vehicles, pairs of tanks) depending on projectile (i.e. AFM-4's, HYR-3's, AAM-4's), but can only fire once before reloading
Flamethrowers
Model: FT-1B (new FT-1)
Common users: any PXE troops, jungle/urban troops/specialists, HWS
Role: small-ish flamethrower that can last for about a minute of firing and fire up to 215 meters, good for sweeping out bunkers and armored fortifications but bulky, short range, and short duration
Model: FT-2
Common users: jungle/urban troops/specialists, HWS
Role: large flamethrower with a max duration of three minutes and can fire nearly 500 meters/extremely effective and very powerful, capable of, at times, bringing down small one-story houses/very bulky, but effective
Please give me input. Surprisingly, this took over an hour to write lol, not even joking. Anyway, please tell me if there's a weapon I should remove. (exceptions: flamethrowers, RL-1, AR-1, AR-2, AR-5, SR-1, any pistol, any knife) This topic will be edited if new weapons come up or improve. As you can see, sniper rifles also have assault rifle designations, due to their only difference being the damage.
