GAV-3 Cheetah Empty GAV-3 Cheetah

Sun Sep 14, 2014 9:18 pm
Spoiler:

Well, I lost the whole ******* description of the thing on the ******* Lego Gallery. (Pardon my "language". Razz) I usually post it there first so the .lxf hurries up first, but it didn't work and froze up! GAV-3 Cheetah 179010628 Anyway, the GAV-3 Cheetah is a medium battle mech designed to work in tandem with the GAV-2 Aucasaurus. It is faster and has more robust weapon systems, at the cost of armor and shielding energy, making it more vulnerable.

Model: GAV-3 Cheetah
Manufacturer: PXE
Produced: 2606 - present
Cost: approx. 118,700 SPXC

Affiliation: PXE Army
In service: 2605 - present
Roles: medium/main battle tank, support unit, infantry support, urban assault unit, all-terrain tank unit, limited anti-air support, artillery support, indirect fire support

Armaments:
x2 ARC-1's
x1 HAIT-4 (on the underside with the rocket tube and cannon)
x1 AAT-3 (the long cannon)
x1 FT-5 (the flamethrower)
x2 MLP-7's (equipped with AIM-3's in this case)

Spoiler:

Defenses:
3.4 - 4.0 cm absorbic armor

ASG-2
HTSG-2
DSG-1

Communications:
DIS-XXX
FIS-XXX
CIS-1
CIS-2
CIS-3
CCIS

Intelligent Systems: PANS

Capacity: x1 pilot

Spoiler:

Powerplant:
x1 LBMCEG-1
x1 LBHPEG-2

Maximum Speed: ~110 km/h (~68 mph)

Spoiler:

I'm pretty happy with the overall turn-out. I finished it awhile ago, but kind of got lazy... Razz The armor directly above the ankle (the shell things) were inspired by an awesome MOC I saw on Google. Pretty happy with most of it, especially the weapons. Razz I pretty much took the cannon of my GAE-1 artillery platform and plastered the barrel on the mech, with some very slim changes. Razz I think it could use some work, and constructive criticism would be welcome! Very Happy

PXR out.

I do love the details/greebling on this thing - you always seem to do fantastically with that, and the weapons setup certainly looks interesting. If I might make a suggestion - maybe rather than having the flat "shoulder panels" or whatnot, maybe just place the cannons directly to either side of the body of the Mech?
