Supreme Class

The Supreme Class of Star Fighters was the last of the "old" fighters to serve in Star Force, and is considered by some to be the first Star Force fighter of the modern era. The latter is highly disputable.
The Supreme was released during the latter quarter of the 25th Century, in 2476 to be exact. The fighter was very durable and well-armed for its time period. In the weapons department, the Supreme was equipped with four pulsed phaser guns, two ray guns, and had room for four rockets.
The durable part comes from heavy armor plating and some very light shielding.
The Supreme draws power from four engines but is not warp capable, and surprisingly nor is it very fast. Compared to most other fighters of its time, the Supreme's acceleration and top speed in atmospheric environments was only slightly above average.
When the first Star Falcon entered service in 2500, the Supreme was almost completely outdone by the newer, more advanced fighter in terms of speed and shielding. The Supreme still had a slight weapons advantage, but that would disappear entirely by the time the Star Falcon II made its reveal.
Today the Supreme is completely obsolete.

That's a cute, effective looking fighter! I like it's missile racks. It's a shame it's obsolete now. Kinda like the Spitfire. So cool, but old.

I concur with what AA says: the Supreme looks very cool! The fighter feels, to me, like a small body hastily attached to a bundle of engines, shaking violently every time it starts up (which, to me, I find enjoyable). Such over-sized engine on such a small ship give it an aura of being extremely fast and powerful (at the time of its release, of course). I like the fins, but while the missile racks below are cool, they might create too much drag on the fighter when it's in-atmosphere, flipping it head-over-heels.
Besides that one remark, I really enjoy it, and it's a shame it only saw ~24 years of service.

I agree with the above comments.... might I suggest a hot-rodded, pirate version? Better engines, more shielding, disruptors? It's too good a fighter to scrap.
