IFS Idril-class Frigate MKI

The Idril is a light frigate designed for strafing runs and drawing fire, as well as specific anti-frigate duties. Its advanced HMT, powerful thrusters and unique shape allows for speed and maneuverability comparable with a starfighter, while its heavy forward flak cannons can shred enemy frigates and starfighter formations. Though it has no point-defense weapons and only four anti-starfighter weapons, the Idril's high maneuverability means it can easily put those weapons in range of incoming fighters, or sometimes outrun them entirely. The B-wing inspired rotating nose keeps the crew oriented and puts less stress on the inertial dampeners.

Yes, due to its position as a megacorporation, not an empire, Daragon Incorporated is focusing its fleet size on frigates and corvettes that can be used to chase down and stop pirates, rather than massive invasion fleets.

My friend, that is the best ship of yours that I've seen! It outdoes my Seraphim and Omega classes by a long shot! Love the color scheme, design, and detail.
