Millennium Class Warship Empty Millennium Class Warship

Millennium Class Warship GetMedia

LDD File (Beware!  Flying bricks!)

The origins of this ship trace back to the first Operation Omega because the Federation didn't want to be left out, but they were too slow to get to building it. Razz

So it never got to see some real combat against the Spectre until a few came back, prompting the allied forces of the Alpha Quadrant to launch another operation to rid the stragglers in our universe once and for all.  The idea to bring back the Millennium Warship was the idea of Star Fleet Admiral Green, who then ordered his favorite officer, Commander Shirley Brickfalling, to bring the Millennium to the warzone and demonstrate its power.

As for the actual ridding the galaxy of Spectres part, that's only a maybe.  They're like the Daleks.  They always come back.

Anyways, as Commander Shirley Brickfalling said,

"Armed to the brim with transphasic torpedoes, transphasic phaser banks, micro torpedoes, Borg-B-Gone Cannons, Pulverization Cannons, and an all new RIPPLE Cannon, the USS Millennium" was more than a match for any Spectre.

While its combat service began under the cover of an escort to Fleet Captain Talmid's reconnaissance task force, the plan was to run into some Spectres (which was obviously going to happen anyway), and then demonstrate the power of RIPPLE cannon.

The RIPPLE cannon is a ridiculously overpowered weapon capable of disrupting the very fabric of space and time, destroying anything in its path, and anything to cross that path in the next 50 or so years.

It's pretty much the equivalent of the Atomic Bomb. O_o If not for its Spectre-killing "side effect," every Star Fleet officer in the galaxy would be demanding its removal.

Some did, but they went into hiding later.  Something about Admiral Green's eyes turning red and his coming after them with an axe....

Anyways, that's the Millennium.  It's retired now, and for the most part, so is its weapon....

Well, some ships still have them, but most of them are retired too. Razz

The Star Falcon fighter also has a miniature version of the RIPPLE cannon known as the WAVERIPPLE cannon, but compared to the original weapon, it's harmless.

Hey, I don't care for fighters covered in cannons, but never let it be said that I dislike a warship with a creative super weapon! Razz I don't recall if I commented on this at the time of her launch or not, but I'll say it now/again. This is one beautiful ship! She looks like a doomsday weapon from the area of the Ambassador class, great work! I would like to hear an explanation of Borg-B-Gone cannons as they sound a bit cheesy in the name (they could have awesome tech behind them, I just don't recall ever having heard about it) also, what are Pulverization Cannons? How do they work? I'm just asking as I'm curious.

But anyways, I love this mega Ambassador with a big bad subspace cannon and a red eyed admiral's axe to grind. Great work Talmid, this is one of your best looking (from the classy style anyway) ships. And I love the name, it suits the ship quite well! Very Happy

Ripple cannon....I remember it now, it sounds dangerously close to a copyright infringment on my SDC cannons. Space Distortion Cannons, also made for the Spectres. Razz Only mine don't ruin sub-space for the next 50 years...everything settles out shortly (seconds) after it's done doing it's thing. Razz

^^^
1. Eh, Trek has had it's share of Subspace weapons before we even watched it, we just invented the beam versions.
2. How odd, normally the Federation would shun the long term destruction weapon and the Atnlays would use the ultimate destruction device, but we have a reversal here.... how interesting...

Antlays don't want to run into their own mine, or have to go around it, fifty years down the road. We take care of things....one way or another. Razz Either by blowing it up or not having the problem in the first place (aka, more efficient weapon systems Razz )

Errr.... let's just say I got lazy here. Razz

In all the other creations I've posted here from the Creation Lab, I've made sure to edit some stuff out, as in, stuff that didn't make sense, or stuff I felt were unfitting for a true, purpose-built Star Trek roleplaying website. Razz

Borg-B-Gone cannons first appeared on one of the Talmidon's, but now that you mentioned it, you're right. I've never explained how they work. Razz They're pretty much very high powered energy weapons which modulate their shield frequencies very quickly, so they can effectively burn through the hull of a Borg ship before they adapt. Razz That's all I can think of right now. Razz

Pulverization cannons are really dense and combustible beam weapons for destroying armor.

I just forgot to remove them when I quoted Shirley. Razz

^ oh.... okay. Borg0B-Gone cannons, sounds like a quantum phaser array, only, a cannon.... maybe they're rapidly modulating disruptor cannons? Maybe not, I don't know. Razz

Pulverization cannons.... big bad beam of super dense energy... sounds kewl. Razz

Aka, like a Spectre, but not quite as good (nothing's as good as a Spectre cannon. Razz ), but Spectre's arn't regular borg, infact they're almost hardly borg at all. I don't think rapidly modulating cannons would work as well on them.

Well, they were designed to fight normal Borg, but no harm in putting them here. Razz

Well in taht case they work. Razz But I always preferred simply bashing them with unbearable yield (not high-yield, unbearable yield Razz ) weapons, or just shooting them with things their shields weren't designed to counter in the first place. Razz And I don't care what you're shields are like, if you shoot a solid projectile fast enough, aint no shield stopping it. Razz That's why railguns are best against borg....actually....any sort of solid projecticle as opposed to energy weapon is. (hint, tommy gun+picard Razz )

AA "almost hardly Borg at all??? I never got that impression in the least; aren't they are just super Borg (with assimilated Atnlays being the top of their kind) that conquered their galaxy/dimension/whatever the official term for the other side of the pre-maw is. Razz If not.... it's be time to talk to everyone I can find.... I have big plans for their queen... (evil wink)

Also, solid projectile weapons only work until they adapt to them... and they do by the 29th century, that is, before Voyager messed with the timeline by bringing future stuff back... so the Borg of our time have likely adapted, or will within a few weeks/months of war against railgun wielding enemies.

AHEM! First off, despite certain claims to the contrary, there are none, zero, zip, zlich, NO assimilated atnlays in the borg/spectre population! First off, teh Spectre's haven't even been but to three galaxies! The Atnlays are all several hundred galaxies away from the milkyway...except teh PPT of course. Second off, we're still having some debates over whether it's a mirror unvierse (like Johnnyred wants) or a different unvierse altogether (like I want, so much more room for development. Razz ). Eitherway, they're so radically different from teh borg that they're "hardly borg at all" comapred to the borg here.

I'm not trying to fight about it Razz We have three different people (that I know of) who didn't invent the Specters, but want to expand upon them.... (beyond just fighting those left in our galaxy.... in radically different ways... :p (J-red, you AA, and me) it's time the three of us had a talk, with each other and with SH if possible (he was lurking last night) about the backstory of the Specters and how each of us can use them. Razz I suggest we move this discussion to the low activity chatbox topic, as it is now COMPLETELY off topic for this creation Razz
