IFS Wrangler MkII
Sun Jun 09, 2013 9:28 am
The IFS Wrangler, the very first class ever designed by Admiral Daragon, was retired from service years ago; however, the rebirth of Daragon's company prompted him to recall it from service, revamp the design, and once again begin production. The MkII is better equipped, better armed, and is designed to better fit its role as a corvette, with powerful Cor-17 engines and level 5 anti-starfighter turrets.

Hey, I remember this ship from way back when! As a matter of fact, I featured it in the Sojourner series. Nice improvements, I like the almost Imperial Star Destroyer design of the rear.

I like the layered look! I feel it needs a rounded front though. The coloration is great, and I like the build up to the engines, though I feel it needs a bit of detail bellow the engines.

Scare- Thank you!
Dino- Hmm, yes, both of those ideas will be taken into account for the MkIII.

Part of my less than stellar review of this model likely stems from your incredibly good Idril and Termius... you've just set the bar so high for yourself

I didn't find it "less than stellar," I know it isn't the greatest ship-- it is, after all, just a remix of the first ship I ever designed. I'm waiting for more input, after which I will begin the MkIII, which will hopefully present a marked improvement.

Well if you're looking for imput, heres some. Do someting to the bottom, SOMETHING don't just leave it as a flat peice like that, that just looks so n00bish, and ugly.
If you copy the whole ship and attach it to the bottom via four found flat peices, two facing up (attached to the bottom) and two facing down (attached to the copy's bottom, which is facing up) and connect them with a small crosspeicelongthingmeboberwhosenameIhavenoideawhatitis, the things used in technech that look like a plus sign when you stare straight down on them, then you can have studs on top and the bottom, plus a much better, not so flat and plain and boring design.

I think you mean Technic rods.
And you can't use the 2x2 round plates, because the shortest Technic rod is too long for that. You'd need the 2x2 round bricks, and you'd have to build them into your model so they don't stick out (I've done this a couple times before).

What WAS a somewhat flat and uninteresting ship (in SOME aspects) is now ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOOOOOOOOOOVE the new version!!!!!! It's now SO sleek, streamlined, aggressive, powerful, and just plain IN-YO-FACE EPIX!!!!! I'm VERY pleased with the Mk. III proto....
You're skills are complete... indeed you ARE powerful as the Emperor has foreseen....
